The Arab National Leasing Company was the diamond sponsor of the first conference of the Jordanian Association of Financial Leasing Companies, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Trade, Eng. Maha Ali, on 9/8/2015 at the Le Méridien Hotel - Amman, which lasted for two days and was organized by the Jordanian Association of Financial Leasing Companies in Jordan in cooperation With the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the participation of a number of financial leasing companies and banks, in addition to those interested in the sector from government and private agencies. 
The diamond sponsorship of the conference came through the Arab National Leasing Company based on its pioneering role in the field of financial leasing and its being the first company in Jordan and maintaining the largest investment volume and the largest market share compared to its counterparts from other financial leasing companies in Jordan. On this occasion, the General Manager of the company, Mr. Walid, presented Hashem gave a brief presentation of the company’s history and its role in spreading the idea of ​​financial leasing in Jordan, which extended for a period of more than 17 years. The presentation covered the following:

  • The financial leasing sector in Jordan is considered one of the important sectors in light of the challenges facing the region and the fact that financial leasing is considered one of the most vital economic issues, especially for emerging markets. 
  • Today, financial leasing has become a strongly offered option in the Jordanian market because of the ease and flexibility of leasing and the companies based on it in transactions, in addition to the presence of an integrated system of laws and procedures. 
  • The advantages of financial leasing, its services, and the sectors to which financial leasing contributes in Jordan, such as the housing and real estate sector, the transportation and machinery sector, in addition to industrial equipment, medical devices, and alternative energy systems. 
  • The importance of enriching knowledge exchange in the field of financial leasing and learning about the experiences of other countries, which will reflect positively on the experiences of financial leasing companies in Jordan and their employees. 
  • Introducing the Arab National Leasing Company (a member of the Arab Bank Group) as the first financial leasing company in Jordan (the leader in financial leasing) and clarifying the company’s vision and mission. The company was established in 1996 and has operated since the beginning of 1998 as a limited liability company. The company also has a major role in the emergence and development of leasing. Financing and by spreading the idea of ​​financial leasing in Jordan and working in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to issue a law that protects dealers in this sector. 
  • The volume of assets financed through the company since its establishment has reached about one billion dollars. 
  •  On this occasion, the company’s General Manager, Mr. Walid Hashem, chaired the third session of the conference, during which three important working papers were presented to the participants in the first conference, in which the role of leasing in the real estate sector was presented, the second its role in the field of financing cars and means of transportation, and the third the role of leasing as an Islamic financing tool. . 

At the end of the conference, the Arab National Leasing Company was honored for its diamond sponsorship through a shield from the Jordanian Association of Financial Leasing Companies that was handed over to its General Manager, Mr. Walid Hashem.
